Yesterday was know in the book world as a an Epic Release Day! That is when a ton of long-waited books are released and readers have to decided which book they want to read first! Yesterday, I managed to read TWO of the books on my waiting list and cleaned my 10 year old daughter's room. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten a chance to review them yet but I will say that I LOVED both of them! Make sure you check the out!

Going Long is the sequel to Ginger Scott's Waiting on the Sidelines. Both Nolan and Reed are in different colleges and doing the long distance relationship thing.
I loved this book almost as much as the first. You get to see Reed's POV which makes you fall for him, over and over again. He dream as always been playing professional football but that dream becoming second to Nolan, who he would do anything for, including giving up on his dream of playing for the NFL. Nolan has a lot to deal with also, school, her insecurities that she is not good enough for Reed and having to deal with Reed's crazy mother who is trying to break them up every second she gets. Just when they start to get the hang of it, they get hit with a life altering tragedy that Nolan has a hard time moving on from. I loved that the book did not feel rushed. You got to live it with them without the feeling that you missed something. I really hated Reed's brother Jason and wanted to strangle him more than once! I am glad that Nolan and Reed finally got their Happily Ever After but the the ride was a very bumpy emotional one and I still have a slight book hangover! *I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley for an honest review* I am in love with Switched by Cassie Mae!
Kayla has been in love with Talon since they first met when he helped her after she fell off her bike in grade school. Unfortunately they do not speak again until she is a senior and Talon starts dating her best friend Reagan. For the past year Kayla has been miserable watching Talon and Reagan get all lovey-dovey and vows to make Talon hers. The only person who knows about her infatuation with Talon is his friend Wesley, who is in love with Reagan! Finally having enough, Kayla and Wes decided to work together to make their best friends break up with each other, so they can finally get what each of them want, their best-friend's boyfriend/girlfriend! But what happens when their plan works better than they thought? This book kept me on the edge of my seat, the entire time. It did take me till the end of the book for me to decide whether or not I liked Kayla. While I do get that she is in love with Talon, the fact that she is plotting to break them up is constantly there. Nothing is worse than a backstabbing best friend, whatever the reason is! But the more I read, the more you could start to see that she really did care about Talon and wanted him to be happy. Of course, then I started to feel guilty when I actually started to root for the two them to get together, especially during the snow fight scene! At add to my turmoil, Wesley kept sneaking into my heart, constantly smelling like gummy bears! I do not think I will ever eat another one without thinking of him! All of a sudden, I was Team Wes and I didn't even realize it! While the book did end with the much needed Happily Ever After, there are a few surprise twists that Cassie threw in to add to the drama! And I would love to read more about Kayla and her man! *I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley for an honest review* When I got this book this morning, I was expecting it to be a teen book about a girl who got bullied and finds a friend in the star football player. While that is true to some extent, it is so much more! I did not expect it send me right back to high school. I know that hurt that 14 year old Nolan feels when she overhears the jokes that are said about her. I was that girl who had to do all the work on the school project when the popular guy ignores you. I was drawn into the story and while I do not agree with some of the decisions made in the book, they are completely understandable high school reactions.
Nolan is a tomboy who likes to wear comfy boy shorts and t-shirts until she overhears her crush, Reed, the star football player, and his girl friend, Tatum saying she looks like a guy. She decides to dress like a girl and ends up as Reed's lab partner in class. They slowly become friends and Nolan's crush grows. Unfortunately he does not seem interested in Nolan as anything more than a friend and so she starts to date his best friend Sean ( who is an amazing guy!). They are a cute couple but Nolan's feeling for Reed get in the way. Later when Reed rescues Nolan after her car breaks down, they finally admit that they have feelings for each other. Of Course, a jealous Tatum throws a nasty wrench into their new relationship and tears it apart. The next year is tough for both Nolan and Reed, they both still love each other but instead of talking it out, they constantly hurt each other with their words and actions. It takes an emergency to get them to finally see eye to eye! Thankfully the book does have a Happily Every After but it does take a while to get there but it was well worth the wait! *I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley for an honest review* Another book I cannot wait for! 3 more weeks!!!
Keep your eyes peeled for an extract of J. A. Redmerski's EDGE OF ALWAYS publishing in ebook on 7th November._ I just got back from Disney World and Atlantic City so I haven't had a lot of time to read or blog but as soon as I get the kids settled in school and my life back in order, I will be blogging up a storm!
So while my husband and my daughter are out visiting, I am hope with a sort of sick 6 year old! It stinks being stuck home but I am glad he is feeling better and hopefully it is just post nasal and not the dreaded stomach bug!

I love to read to the point where it is almost an obsession! Great for all my favorite authors, not so much for my husband and my perpetual messy house. I have always loved reading and my first book obsession had no doubt been The Babysitter's Club series by Ann Marie Martin. I remember being 12 and conning my parents or my grandmother to buy me a new book or three since one book never lasted long enough! When I was in high school, I would count down to my free period when I could go to the library to read some cheesy teen romance novels. I did slowly graduate to adult romance novel but will say I my favorite genre is New Adult. I honestly will say that getting a NOOK and an IPAD made my obsession way to easy to fulfill, considering I have over 200 books in my Nook app right now!
Since according to my husband, all I do is read!, I decided to do something else and blog too. Which is how I came up with my name for my blog.
